The Local Area
The Estate is semi rural and on the edge of the historic harbour town of Charlestown, taking just 5 minutes to walk to the stunning harbour and its beaches plus the many fantastic eateries that the town has to offer.
Adjacent to the much larger town of St Austell and the stunning sister harbour town of Fowey; the location of Mill House Cottage is perfect for exploring all areas of Cornwall and in particular the striking South coast.
Just a 20 minute drive to the Award Winning Eden Project we also have The Lost Gardens of Heligan on our doorstep.
There are many wonderful walks nearby, both coastal and countryside and a truly great pub on every corner!
Charlestown Harbour has been popular for film & television locations and credits include Poldark, Pirates of The Caribbean, Hornblower and Mansfield Park. When you arrive here you will understand why…. and yes Johnny Depp and Aiden Turner stay locally and are often seen relaxing in the local vicinity.
